  1. an Italian tradition is filled with festivals celebrating saints, holidays and important events in Italian history. In Venice they celebrate Carnivale di Venezia, a two-week party in early spring. It is marked by parties, parades, live performances of music and, most famously, masquerade balls. Masks are worn throughout Carnivale, ranging from simple half-face masks to elaborate full-face masks called bauta. Although family-friendly events are part of the celebration, the masks and the party atmosphere give Carnivale a reputation as a place where “anything goes.” christmas is a celebration that reflects my values because Christmas is about family and giving

An example of a tradition that is a part of my unique cultural experience is celebrating Chinese New Year. When we celebrate Chinese New Year there is a lot of food and there is a lion dance in the city and we believe that if we catch the food the lion throws you get good luck for the whole year.

    2. Is there a celebration or a custom that reflects your values?
On the Chinese New Year day adults and older relatives give children a red packet and inside the red packet is money for the child. When the relative gives the red packet they say something to them that means good luck and the child must say thank you and good luck back to them as well.
I hope you have enjoyed my post and I would love to hear what your unique tradition you celebrate.

  7. Hello 6SC and fellow people,
This is my reply for the 2 questions:

    1. What is an example of a tradition that is a part of your unique cultural experience?
An example of my unique cultural tradition is Apokries. It is a Greek festival, which is when you wear masks and costumes and PARTY! It is 40 days before Greek Easter and you fast for 40 days, but for the first 3 Sundays you can eat meat. Fun-fact is that ApoKRIES has the word KPIES which means meat so that adds up.

    2. Is there a celebration or a custom event that reflects your values?
When there is Greek Easter we dye eggs red and sometimes put a design on it. Whoever in the end has there egg not cracked is the winner and it represents my values because I have won several times and my grandma has told me something about the egg cracking is that it means life

    Thank-you

Dear 6SC, I come from Lebanon and a unique tradition there is mainly food. Food is used a lot in Lebanon. We use it for the common reasons like family gatherings and weddings. We also shower guests who visit our home. Lebanese cuisine is amazing. One main food is zucchini with rice and minced meat. There is a vegetarian version and it is practically the same except without the minced meat. The vegetarian version is usually made during the fasting period or if you have no meat.

  12. A tradition that is part of my cultural experience is fasting it is when you can’t eat anything
from an animal or made by an animal so u can’t have any dairy, meat or eggs so we would have to eat vegetarian food like fake meat or soy milk so you are basically vegetarian for as long as it goes sometimes it’s 40 days and sometimes it’s a week.
